Anonymous asked: there's too many talented people around the world, do you feel the pressure of not being good enough sometimes? how deal with that?

Yeah, definitely. I think most people just starting off in a creative industry are constantly aware of this and feel pressured by it. For me, I don’t know if the fear stems so much from not being good enough as it does from the possibility that I just might not be able to make a living from photography and have my work seen by the right people. This is an incredibly competitive industry, increasingly so each and every day as access to professional equipment becomes easier. It’s not enough to just be good. In order to succeed, one must have a unique style and point of view, and even then a photographer still has to ensure that the right agents and editors and gallery owners are aware of them. I’m a pretty optimistic person when it comes to my own future, so dealing with it is not really a problem for me. I just know that I have to keep working, researching, meeting with people in the industry who might be able to further my career. It’s all about putting in effort.

Anonymous asked: Who was the woman in the photograph "recluse"? Did she actually have floor length hair?

The model was one of my very good friends from high school named Victoria. She actually wore a wig for this image… a really cheap, knotted 6-foot long wig I bought off Amazon. She’s wearing my mom’s wedding dress here also.

Anonymous asked: Favorite thing about Brian?

That he’s almost an extension of myself. We are alike in so many ways that we usually share the same thought at a given moment, and that makes communicating easy for the most part. At the same time, though, we both lack something that the other supplies, so it’s a nice balance in a way.

thesewickedwonders asked: Do you have any other creative outlets other than photography?

Currently I don’t have any outlets other than photography. I feel like I’m the sort of person that can only focus on one thing at a time and put all of my passion into it. There are a lot of things that I would love to learn to do, though, like play the piano or make films. I figure I still have time.
